After we all arrived at the hotel and settled into our rooms, we met up with the others in the hotel lobby. From there, we took a bus to a lovely restaurant, where we were seated at mixed tables with both Japanese and German participants.

The evening began with a welcome speech, given by the Japanese head organizer, another member of JCI Japan, and two supervisors from the German side. After the speeches, the bar was opened.

Once everyone had a drink, we were asked to introduce ourselves. One by one, we stood up and shared our name, home country, the city we live in, and a fun fact about that city.

After the introductions, the buffet was opened. Table by table, we went to get our food. The rest of the evening was spent chatting, getting to know each other, and making new connections.
