Identity and Conflict Solving
Our second official day began early with a warmup session at 07:30 after a quick breakfast. We went to a small field in our hotel area.
The tasks presented by Julien challenged our still tired minds and prepared us for a morning filled with excercises.
After this small excursion, we ambassadors were seperated into two classes and began our workshops with either Jen or Markus.
Jen’s workshop was all about identity and respecting it. During this first group of tasks, we learned to know our own identity and how to respect others. Especially the excersise of „microagressions“ really showed us to respect each other.
During this excersise, we learned that acknowleding each other plays a key role in achieving peace.
Markus‘ workshop on the other hand dealt with conflicts and how to avoid or resolve them.
We excersised to learn more about listening to each other instead of arguing. The resolving of model conflicts taught us to avoid smaller conflicts from escalating – and doing something to preserve peace.
